5 great reasons to join a club (as quoted in one of the back issues of the Cross Stitch Crazy Magazine)
1. You get to show off your work to like-minded stitchers - they'll appreciate it more than your hubby, the dog or the cat!
2. It won't cost you much. Most clubs just charge to cover the hall hire. Some also have a fund which allows the club to buy joint purchases such as fabrics. You could also benefit from some club discounts.
3.Make new friends or find old ones through the club. Cross stitch clubs are friendly and there's no age limit. Join in with meals out and hear guest speakers invited to the club.
4. You can be any standard - beginner or experienced. It's a great way for beginners to learn cross stitch skills.
5. You can pick up tips, share your experience swap charts and have a really good giggle. Some clubs also hold special evenings focusing on particular techniques to encourage you to try new things, like french knots, framing and beading.
